mission-counter-culture-wordThe Mission:
To counter all culture with the grace of God – and to shine the Word of God revealing its power for lasting change in the lives of those who believe.

OUR MISSION USING THE ACRONYM “BUILDS” – A “building” being a place of shelter and refuge

B – Building Bridges

Building bridges rather than walls.  To restore the broken by teaching and preaching the good news, the Gospel of Grace.
(Matt 9:37-38; Is 48:13; Is 58:12).

U – Unity

Seeking to unify the church of Jesus Christ under the mission given by Jesus (Mark 16:14-20, John 20:21, Matt 9:37-38, Matt 28:16-20).  Uniting in one vision of bringing together all generations to God’s truth, the finished work of Jesus Christ.  (Ps 133:1; Eph 4:4; Eph 4:13)

I – Investing in Families

Encouraging and devoting time and resources to develop Biblical family structures for the healing and well being of believers and non believers alike.  The picture of the body of Christ is that of a family.  (Matt 10:31; Rom 8:31)

L – Love – The Foundation

(God is Love) Love is the foundation of God’s salvation plan. Being Bold with God’s love is placing value on each individual we come in contact with which reveals the true heart of God.  (John 3:16; I Cor 13; 1 John 4:19)

D – Discipling Believers

Teaching new converts and long standing believers alike, by the Spirit, in the revelation of who they are in Christ and what Christ has done for them through the finished work of the cross.  Discipleship is key, along with equipping and empowering them to fulfill their God given purpose.  (Eph 1: 17,18; Matt 28:19, 20; Matt 9:37-38; Matt 28:20; John 8:31)

S – Sending for Harvest

Sending forth disciples throughout the world with the Gospel of Christ to gather the harvest.  (Matt 9:37-38; Matt 9:38; John 20:21; Mark 16:15)

We will achieve the mission by ministering the message of grace and faith, by loving people unconditionally, by reaching out to those we don’t know, by teaching the uncompromising Word of God, equipping believers for their God assignment, investing resources in families and focus the spotlight on the need to do so, by sending disciples out into the harvest, by mentoring those called to the ministry, and by building bridges to our neighbors rather than walls. (Eph 2:8, I John 4:8, Romans 5:8, I Cor 13, Matt 28:19, Eph. 4:12-13, Prov 22:6, Malachi 4:6, Luke 10:2, Isaiah 58:9-12).
